Air Force SOF to HBS and Post-MBA Pivots with Jack Ambridge
NEW Podcast
You may think that someone who gets into Harvard Business School must have gotten into everywhere else that they applied. Well, you are wrong. Today's guest, Jack Ambridge, shares how his first attempt at applying to business school failed. He ended up not getting in anywhere. The second time around, he reached out to Emily Sawyer Kegerreis at Military MBA Consulting and landed an acceptance letter to HBS. Jack opened up about realizing he wasn't as special as he thought, despite graduating from the United States Air Force Academy, working in Air Force SOF, and everyone telling him that "any company would be lucky to have him" as a SOF veteran. We also talk about the recruiting "trap" at business school and giving yourself permission as a veteran to not get it right the first time. In a term I've now adopted from Kyle Eberly, flying "waypoint to waypoint", after the military is OK (I clearly was not an aviator). Listen in to another veteran as we discuss business school applications and careers after getting an MBA.
