Commander's Brief
Business ideas, jobs for veterans, and other cool stuff for ex-military.
If you are reading this, you probably remember exactly where you were on 9/11.
Me: I was in Mrs. Kreb’s 7th Grade English class. Kids kept getting called to the principle’s office to be picked up by their parents and then we all went home early and I remember looking up in the sky for airplanes.
Next week is 9/11.
It’s a day that changed our lives, especially if you are reading this newsletter and served in the military. It started the Global War on Terror that came to be our lives for years.
So here is what I want you to do: don’t just treat it like any other day. Go do something.
I am getting together with a bunch of other dudes to climb 2,071 stairs, which represents the roughly 110 flights of stairs in the World Trade Center Twin Towers, a distance first responders climbed during the 2001 attacks.
Can do that, or something else.
Just do something to not let it be another date on the calendar.
It deserves more than that.

Veteran Business of the Week
One of the really fun thngs about The Veteran Profesisonal is that I’ve gotten to connect with a lot of non-US veterans.
The brotherhood of arms is wide. And deep when it comes to our allies.
Greg Potapenko is a retired Canadian Army CSM. I’ve gotten to know him and just like the guy a like.
His newest company is Tactical Snacks.
Especially if you are an endurance athlete, you should give them a check.
Resource of The Week
Especially if you have a family, you should strongly consider life insurance.
For those who are eligible, check out the VA’s Veterans Group Life Insurance.
Business Idea of The Week
This is actually something I am brewing on, so I cannot share too much yet, but I am looking to connect with anyone who has crafted a bid for a government contract that provides services, or a KO who has reviewed them.
Thanks!
Go crush it,
Mark
